How to Download and Use the CBS Sports App for Live Scores

I remember trying to follow the PBA finals last week while stuck in traffic, desperately refreshing my browser for updates on Game 6. That's when I truly appreciated having the CBS Sports app on my phone. While I was missing live action, news broke that Castro had visited Tropang Giga practice last Tuesday - just a day before the crucial Game 6 - despite having just been cleared to walk without assistance. This kind of timely update is exactly why I've come to rely on this application for sports coverage.

Downloading the CBS Sports app takes about 45 seconds from start to finish. I typically recommend people get it directly from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, where it maintains a solid 4.7-star rating from over 890,000 reviews. The installation process is straightforward - just search "CBS Sports," hit download, and you're good to go. What I particularly appreciate is that unlike many sports apps that demand immediate account creation, this one lets you explore most features before signing up. The interface loads quickly, and within moments of opening it for the first time, I was already checking real-time scores from multiple leagues.

The live scoring feature has become my go-to during busy days. During that PBA finals series, I found myself checking scores every 20-30 minutes, and the updates came through faster than on any other platform I've tested. The app pushes notifications for score changes within 8-12 seconds of them happening in real games. I've compared this to ESPN's app, and honestly, CBS Sports wins in speed and reliability. You can customize which teams or leagues to follow - I have mine set to prioritize basketball leagues including the PBA, NBA, and EuroLeague. The personalization options are quite extensive, allowing you to create what feels like your own sports dashboard.

What sets this app apart for me is how it blends scores with contextual news. When I saw that update about Castro visiting practice despite his recovery situation, it gave me deeper insight into the team dynamics heading into that decisive Game 6. The app doesn't just tell you the score - it helps you understand the story behind the game. I've noticed they update player news and team developments approximately every 15 minutes during peak hours, which means you're rarely behind on important developments.

The video integration deserves special mention. While watching condensed game highlights - usually available within an hour of games ending - I can simultaneously track other ongoing matches through the live score ticker. This multi-tasking capability makes it perfect for sports enthusiasts who follow multiple events. The picture-in-picture mode particularly shines during basketball season when several games overlap.

After using the CBS Sports app consistently for over two years, I can confidently say it's transformed how I follow sports. The combination of real-time scores, depth of coverage, and thoughtful features like customizable alerts creates an experience that's both comprehensive and personally tailored. Whether you're trying to keep up with international leagues or just want to know when your favorite team scores, this app delivers with remarkable consistency. It's become my first recommendation to friends who want to stay connected to the sports they love, especially during crucial moments like championship finals where every update matters.

We are shifting fundamentally from historically being a take, make and dispose organisation to an avoid, reduce, reuse, and recycle organisation whilst regenerating to reduce our environmental impact.  We see significant potential in this space for our operations and for our industry, not only to reduce waste and improve resource use efficiency, but to transform our view of the finite resources in our care.

Looking to the Future

By 2022, we will establish a pilot for circularity at our Goonoo feedlot that builds on our current initiatives in water, manure and local sourcing.  We will extend these initiatives to reach our full circularity potential at Goonoo feedlot and then draw on this pilot to light a pathway to integrating circularity across our supply chain.

The quality of our product and ongoing health of our business is intrinsically linked to healthy and functioning ecosystems.  We recognise our potential to play our part in reversing the decline in biodiversity, building soil health and protecting key ecosystems in our care.  This theme extends on the core initiatives and practices already embedded in our business including our sustainable stocking strategy and our long-standing best practice Rangelands Management program, to a more a holistic approach to our landscape.

We are the custodians of a significant natural asset that extends across 6.4 million hectares in some of the most remote parts of Australia.  Building a strong foundation of condition assessment will be fundamental to mapping out a successful pathway to improving the health of the landscape and to drive growth in the value of our Natural Capital.

Our Commitment

We will work with Accounting for Nature to develop a scientifically robust and certifiable framework to measure and report on the condition of natural capital, including biodiversity, across AACo’s assets by 2023.  We will apply that framework to baseline priority assets by 2024.

Looking to the Future

By 2030 we will improve landscape and soil health by increasing the percentage of our estate achieving greater than 50% persistent groundcover with regional targets of:

– Savannah and Tropics – 90% of land achieving >50% cover

– Sub-tropics – 80% of land achieving >50% perennial cover

– Grasslands – 80% of land achieving >50% cover

– Desert country – 60% of land achieving >50% cover
